RESTI

RESTI explores the fate of abandoned objects in large cities, often left on sidewalks to be collected or discarded. Among these are furniture and household items—appliances, chairs, and lamps—that once shaped our daily spaces with their function and design. Encountering them on the street raises the question: “What are they doing here?” These objects, tied to intimate living spaces, temporarily merge with the impersonal rhythm of urban life, creating a sense of disconnection. The project captures these items where they’re found and reimagines them in AI-generated domestic settings through photomontage. Presented as foldable brochures placed in a box-like container, the format invites viewers to make a deliberate choice to pick one up—echoing the act of saving or reclaiming the abandoned furniture.
